Teenager killed, man injured in Frankford shooting

A 17-year-old boy was killed and a man was in extremely critical condition after a shooting Saturday night in Frankford.

A shooting Saturday night in Frankford left a 17-year-old boy dead and a man in critical condition.

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 8 p.m. inside a house on the 2000 block of Orthodox Street.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the side and chest. A 28-year-old man was shot multiple times and transported to Temple University Hospital, where police said he was listed in extremely critical condition.

Two suspects were taken into custody, and officers recovered a gun, though it’s unclear whether the weapon was used in the shooting.

Detectives are also investigating a second scene connected with the incident on the 4500 block of Ditman Street. ••
